First set up a user on the iPECS Cloud portal.  Choose 3rd Party SIP for the device and then Cisco SPA112.

 

Fill in the details for Username and Password on the extension.

Access the web interface on the ATA by either checking the IP on the router or you can plug an SLT handset in to the device and dial **** then 110 followed by #

Default login is admin/admin.

Next you will see tthis screen:

Enter the details at each location:

1.       185.110.180.13

2.       Display Name for the extension

3.       Username as programmed on the extentension in the portal.

4.       Password as programmed on the extension in the portal.

5.       Change the default Dial Plan details for the following:

a.       Original – (*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)

 

b.       Change to - ([1-8]xxx|*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|[9xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.

 

These details also need to be added to the line settings like below:

Once you have entered this information and saved you will then be registered and you will be able to view this in the voice tab.

ATA Fax setup information – (this is best endeavour only and not guaranteed to work)

Configuring your Cisco SPA112 or SPA122 with the settings listed below will help ensure the best possible result when faxing over VoIP.

Select Voice in the Menu Bar, and then select either Line 1 or Line 2 depending on which line you have used for your fax, In the Network Settings section, enter the following settings:

  • Network Jitter Level: very high
  • Jitter Buffer Adjustment: no

Next, in the Supplementary Service Subscription section, enter the following settings:

  • Call Waiting Serv: no
  • Three Way Call Serv: no

Now, in the Audio Configuration section, enter the following settings to support T.38 fax

  • Preferred Codec: G711u (USA) or G711a (rest of the world)
  • Use Pref Codec Only: yes
  • Silence Supp Enable: no
  • Echo Canc Enable: no
  • FAX Passthru Codec: G711u (USA) or G711a (rest of the world)
  • FAX Passthru method: ReINVITE
  • FAX Enable T38: yes
  • FAX T38 ECM Enable: yes
  • Fax Tone Detect Mode: Callee only

Click Submit to save your settings.
Verify that your fax machine BAUD rate is set to a speed between 7200 and 14400. I suggest 9600.           

You should now be able to successfully send (and receive) a fax over your chosen VoIP provider using your Cisco ATA.
